Frequently Asked Questions

Use the formula: Sale Price = Original Price × (1 − Discount% ÷ 100). For example, a ₹1,000 item at 20% off gives a sale price of ₹1,000 × 0.80 = ₹800. You can also just use the calculator above and get the answer instantly!
Savings = Original Price × (Discount% ÷ 100). For example, 30% off on ₹2,500 = ₹2,500 × 0.30 = ₹750 saved. The calculator shows both your savings and your final price side by side.
"Percent off" means a percentage reduction from the original price. If an item is 25% off, you pay only 75% of the original price. So a ₹500 item at 25% off costs ₹375 — you save ₹125.
Formula: Original Price = Sale Price ÷ (1 − Discount% ÷ 100). For example, if the sale price is ₹750 at 25% off, then original price = ₹750 ÷ 0.75 = ₹1,000. Use the "Find Original Price" tab in our tool for this calculation.
Yes! Simply enter the price inclusive of GST as your original price. If the discount is applied before tax, enter the pre-tax price, calculate, and then add GST to the result. For example, if the discounted price is ₹800 and GST is 18%, the final price = ₹800 × 1.18 = ₹944.
